Making the purchase today. Fingers crossed that I have a decent printer out of the box. I hope:
- bed is level
- parts are all there
- extruder works ok
- X/Y axis move freely.

I'm with you on that... I like easy access. I used the same design but for a larger tube with a 6mm OD, it clamps in to a larger fitting on the top and the 6mm OD tube was left to sick out about 1.5". I insert my 4mm OD tube into the 6mm which acts like a sleeve. I can pull it apart at any time to get closer to the feeder and hand push/pull the filament when needed.

Been printing with that config for a bit with no issues, the 4mm OD tube stays put, but honestly many filaments I print with I pull the entire unit off because Nylon does not break when it bends a bit and I do not like the constriction on the filament.

I'm not following exactly what part this is. I'll need to have a look at the part and how it functions once I get the printer and revisit this conversation.
