No Infill in Printed Object

Postby Vagulus » Mon Aug 15, 2022 2:39 am

AP-04-009 is a (small) spacer ring. It refuses to print as a solid object. Only the Outer Shell and the Inner Shell are printed.

What am I missing in my setup?

I am using a Pro2 printer with eSun PLA+ filament and 0.8mm nozzles. ideaMaker is 4.2.3.5680.

So I am looking at your tiny STL. With a .8mm nozzle, it slices this ring into 3 parts. outside wall, inside wall, and 1 infill ring. So if you do not have your slicer set to allow single line infill, OR is you have any expansion on your walls, the .8mm head cannot correctly fit in the inside infill space. You'll notice if you make it a little bigger, even barely bigger at all, it will fill. I dont know what slicer you are using, or I would tell you how to make a single extrusion infill, but I dont know ideamaker.

Due to the size of this model using the setting allow fill gaps with single extrusion should help with this model as the line width of 0.8mm from the nozzle will limit how the infill can print. https://www.ideamaker.io/dictionaryDeta ... 4.3.0.6190

Sorry for not getting back to say thanks. You were right on the money. Problem fixed by using 3 wall layers instead of two. Could probably have gone for 100% infill.

Cheers

You should use the 0.4mm nozzle
