Flow rate - how does that work in Ideamaker?

Postby Manfredo52 » Mon Jun 22, 2020 5:04 am

Good day
I have searched here in this nice group and already found some recent posts about the subject, but no solution sogar. Question is as follows
The aim is to achieve dimensional accuracy as much as possible. I am starting with a 20x20 mm cube, no top/bottome layers, with 0,48 mm or 0,4mm extrusion width (0,4 mm nozzle), 2 shells. FLow rate set in filament settings at 100 percent. When I print, i get a wall thickness of about 1.05 mm (versus 0,96) or littles less (versus 0,4 mm EW). When I dial down the flow rate to 90 percent, nothing much happens. Wall thickness stays same, almost. May be a shade less. But not noticeably. What am I doing wrong, please ?

regards/Manfred

Please check Override Filament Flow under Avanced. This setting have higher priority than Filament Settings.
You may calibrate extrusion width first then flowrate.
