Y axis pausing during printing causing layer shifts

Postby Marcolly » Fri May 15, 2020 7:29 pm

I have a Pro2 Plus that I bought about two years ago. Recently my prints have been showing a Y shift. I relubed the axes using Superlube, and they feel smooth through the entire travel. I watched a print very carefully and observed that the Y axis seems to pause briefly and occasionally and this is causing the shifting. Any idea what could be causing this?

Please use the following guide to check whether the coupler on your printer is loose or not.

Thank you, I tightened the couplers (for the X too), and all is good now. Appreciate the help.
