After some Jam problems with the left extruder I would like to have a filemant movement sensor instead of the current filament sensor at the Pro2.
The problem is: the filament jams and the printer starts printing "air" instead of PLA. I usually check the print several times a day and can stop it via the app. But it would be better the printer would stop itself and send a notification. So we could react faster.

It would also be helpful to have a camera that films higher than potato quality...

Re: Pro2: Filament movement sensor
A sensor could detect lack of filament movement, or detect clicking in the extruder.
Really, how many HD movies of Baby Groot being printed do we need?

Re: Pro2: Filament movement sensor
Hi,
i also looking for an helpfull solution to detect correct moving of the filament.
Today the printer only detects runout. If the filamanent stops moving and it cloggs then there is no message or monitoring.
I'm looking araound and found some solutions. The most interesting is from Duet3D. A laser scanner monitors the correct moving of the filament depending of the real printsettings. Very cool.
Please use Google with these keywords and read the wiki: Duet3D Filament Monitor Laser Version
Could this also be possible come to work with our Raise3D Pro2?
Thanks for any comments.
Please sorry my english, its not my native language.

Re: Pro2: Filament movement sensor
Yes this is a big problem and destroys prints.
Please add an replacement sensor as optional buyable hardware!

Re: Pro2: Filament movement sensor
I'm glad I'm not the only one that has thought this feature would be extremely useful...
Better yet, a more robust printer that doesn't clog constantly.
Seriously thinking about selling these printers and purchasing a Stacker....

Re: Pro2: Filament movement sensor
If you print for hours and your print crashes like this, its terrible.
as a sensor addon raise3d could keep printer price low and earn cash from people who grade up later.
and people who own an pro2 will be happy. anyway pro3 should have this from stock.
