We still find some error of Thermal Runaway Protection. Please revert back to 1.1.1.

May I make a suggestion Vicky. Place these beta or release candidates somewhere else vs. posting on the main downloads page. Posting them on the main downloads page implies they are somewhat ready.

Also have the developers post exactly what changed and what needs to be tested. Many here are willing to help test.

just to make some notes on thermocouple. there seem to be three types: kickstarter, V1 and V2.

i have not played with the V2 but the KS and V1 seem to be different. the V1 seems to perform betrer the the KS. this may be the issue. we are still running KS v1 hotend PID in stock firmware. I got a new v2 hotend in yesterday. i'll run some PID on it without insulation later to see how it differs on the v1 thermocouple

We are so sorry to bring you so much trouble.
We released the version 1.1.4 on github for test a few days before. Meanwhile, we updated it to the printers in our office and factory. And released it yesterday's noon after a few-day's test prints. But we suddenly found an error at yesterday evening, and revert it back immediately.
It should be our fault. We release a not fully tested firmware on our website. We apologize. :oops:

i would also reccormend you have the stable release and a beta release for new firmware to be tested- and after 2 months of stable use, the beta can be considered for stable release reclassification.

finally got around to looking at the PID on an uninsulated V2 Hotend with a V1 thermocouple.

This is what I got.
// N Series V2 Hotend V1 Thermo couple
#define DEFAULT_Kp 23.47
#define DEFAULT_Ki 1.76
#define DEFAULT_Kd 78.44

the Kickstarter PID is the following.
// N series KS version
#define DEFAULT_Kp 14.49
#define DEFAULT_Ki 0.8
#define DEFAULT_Kd 65.52

Monoprice Maker Select v2
