Does Runout Sensor Detect filament not moving??

Big problem isnt runouts - its Jamming. Where gear is grinding into filament but filament is not moving. Would this be detected by the runout sensor??

result leads to those terrible isolation tube clogs since the filament is sitting there not moving for hours

Our run-out sensor is an optical one. It only detects whether there has filament passing through the sensor so that the light will be blocked.

I had the same problem with filament stopped many times. So I developed a filament stopped system that alerts me when this happens. Yes, I may lose a printed part but at least it does not air print for an extended time......

Can you check whether the red lights on the sensor is on or not with no filament loaded inside?

Hi, Same problem here, Just intalled it in my N2 plus dual extruder, all up do date and also lights on, but I ran 2 tests and it did not detect the filament running out, could you help?

Do the red lights on the sensor light up or not after power on the printer with no filament inserted into it?

When the filament goes out the lamp goes off too.further shows no reaction.

Turn on filament sensor on: ON

That's exactly how it is, but when the filament goes out and the light goes on, the printer does not stop.

Would you also like to run a test with loading filament from another tunnel on run-out sensor with the same gcode file one more time?

Did you update the firmware to be the FRS version?
