board error
Last night I had a board error that shut off the extruder, it said it overheated. Is the fairly common? I have only had 1 other issue where the printer froze durring printing.
Re: board error
this is not good nor normal. Make sure that the heater and thermocouple are screwed in securely and also make sure that the cooling fan is working

Re: board error
most likely error is thermocouple is loose or broken, check connections all the way to mainboard.
{FWIW mine came out of its can, its just a weld on the tip of 2 wires slid into a metal can held in with epoxy. I pushed it back in and glued in place with the red high temperature silicon RTV }

Re: board error
If that is an original Thermo couple, you can order a new one. The new ones btw are much more responsive i have found.

Re: board error
After replacing the thermocoupler with the extra one included with my printer, I am still having the same error. I would like to send the whole extruder section including the board less the hot end for evaluation and or repair.
Re: board error
You need to have both thermocouples connected for normal operation.
I tried to remove the unused one on my N1 single extruder printer, and got the same error message as you do.
So I re-attached the unused thermocouple and the printer started as it should again.

Re: board error
Both thermoocuplers were exchanged places, the machine started up and I was able to print until the machine just stopped and the led screen went black. I restarted the machine hoping to resume the print.......This is what I got when powering back on.

I believe it is time to exchange the printer......

Please send us an email at support@raise3d.com with your name, number and time to call. We will guide you through all the possible check points to fix this issue. Since it was ok before this, it should just be a loose connection somewhere.

Re: board error
This issue is continuing........needless to say I am very unhappy. There are no loose connections, I replaced the main board. These issues are UNACCEPTABLE and a permanent solution need to be reached!
