Re: Hinge for top cover, available for purchase
Thank you very much. I will send you some information on the hinge later today. I appreciate you notifying us regarding the email and have since submitted an updated post with the correct email.
Re: Hinge for top cover, available for purchase
A question: will it hold the top up while open just an inch or two? In what range of angles will it hold the cover up?
Re: Hinge for top cover, available for purchase
Yes, it will hold up the top, very close to 1” to 2”.
In theory it is infite position from 0, closed position to 110 full open.
Duty cycle is 20,000.

You have pictures?
Re: Hinge for top cover, available for purchase
Pictures would make a world of a difference on who would be interested for security purposes.

Re: Hinge for top cover, available for purchase
Here is what I did to my N2+.
I cut 4 cheap wooden dowels to length and drilled and screwed them to the inside corners of the cover lifting it an appropriate amount to clear the filament tubes.
Then I took the package material that the cover came in (styrafoam) and cut out the bottom making a perfect slide over gap filler.
With the gap filler down I get a nice toasty warm chamber for those ABS prints.
And I can slide it up for access to the extruders and filament tubes.
If I want to print PLA just slide it up to the top and turn a little to rest on top for those long cool prints.
Cheap and easy, I'm all over that!

Until we see a good set of pictures, there is no product offering. The lack of images, brand-new poster, anonymous (misspelled) email, etc. is starting to seem a little shady to me. And, of course, posting a few pix takes what? Maybe 10 minutes? 15?
I will send you some information on the hinge later today.
I received nothing in the last four days.
BTW, I'm only ragging on this because I'd really like to find such a product, but it sounds like this one got (sort of) announced a few weeks early, before any consideration of how to actually market or sell it.

That's a nice upgrade - if you would call it that.

Sorry for the wicked long delay. You are spot on. Been developing products for 20+ years. Yes, initially, we suck at marketing products. We will get better with time.
We tried to integrate a hinge system without adding holes. But, after extensive R & D, the torque on the hinges is way too high.
