Heavy TPU roll problem

Hi,

I am using a 1 kg PolyFlex TPU95-HF and it seems like my Pro2+ having difficulties to rotate the roll and since the filament is very flexible, I am having issues.

Is there any solution for this? I was thinking of having a ball bearing around the filament spool holder?

Been there, done that. Here's what fixed it for me:

The stock spool holder builds tension and then releases. With the bearings these use, (available at any larger hardware store) once the tension on the nut is adjusted, the filament pulls evenly.

I've installed a pair of these on three Pro2's @ work: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2505551

And printed these to position the Bowden tubes and guide the filament off the spool: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4231551

It's inexpensive and 1 meter is enough for two spools.

For larger spools of flexible material, you may need to use something like a PolyBox or printed spool holder with bearings to provide a friction-free method of feeding the filament into the machine.
