Layer Start position / z-seam placement

Postby msteele999 » Fri Oct 16, 2020 11:13 am

I have a 80 x 70 x 28 model that has chamfered corners. Default placement of the z-seam is the lower left corner. I am trying to move the seam to the left or right rear corner, or the center of the back face.

I have changed the start layer placement to fixed, however no combination of x and y coordinates seem to move the seam.

Any advice is appreciated.

Would you mind share you .gcode, .data and .idea files which can recreate the issue with us?

Vicky - I resolved this issue - at least moving it to a corner. I am still not able to move it to the middle of a face.

Is the middle of a face the middle of a triangle face? Can you share some screenshots or images of the print to share me which face you are referring to.
