Inner shell 'peeking thru'

Postby msteele999 » Thu Oct 15, 2020 5:24 pm

Hello,

I am new to IdeaMaker and am a long time Cura user. I am currently in the process of refining a template for a product that I print quite a few of. Basic settings are:

Printer: Sovol SV01 .4mm nozzle
Filament: Hello3D Silk Pink PLA @ 190C / 60C (based on temp tower)
Resolution: .20 layer height / .40 layer width
Flow: 93% after first layer based on extrusion testing
Speed: 50mmps with default slicer speeds for other sections
z-seam: auto / convex corner

I have unwanted bumps on some corners that do not appear to be z-seam related (Pic1). When looking at the slice closely, I see what appears to be inner shells (green) poking thru (pic2). If I change the slicer template to print external shells first, the inner shell poking thru becomes uniform (pic3). I'm looking for a setting that prevents this entirely.

I have changed the number of shells from 2 to 5 with mixed, but never completely removed, results.

Is there a setting that will help with this issue?

Best regards,

Mark Steele
