1st Model Layer after support

Postby dsnyder » Fri Nov 01, 2019 9:39 pm

Hello,

I'm wondering why the first layer of the model after the support is so rough looking lately.

The final surface layer is always so smooth looking.

Why are the extrusion lines so far apart? It used to be much better using the standard print settings with no modification except turning on support. Ever since the recent updates to the software and firmware, things are not nearly as neat and clean. Wish I would have saved the old templates.

Machine: Pro2, Left nozzle only
Filament: Raise3D Premium PLA
Template: Standard - Pro2 - PLA
Nozzle Temp: 205C
Bed Temp: 60C

Any help would be appreciated.

There's usually one or more empty layers between the top of the support and the base of the supported part (to keep the support from fusing with the part) so the first layer above the support won't be nicely squashed flat like all the other layers.
