Spiral/Vase Mode 2. Schale

Postby Tino » Mon Jan 25, 2021 2:50 pm

Kann ich im Spiral Mode eine 2. Schale an einem bestimmten Ort dazu nehmen als Verstärkung?

Im normalen Modus geht das siehe Bild.

You are looking for a model having a half Vase Mode and a half regular mode?

It should be the same in all Operation Systems. Vase Mode currently doesn't Per-layer Settings, so half Vase half normal can't be achieved with the current settings.

Please compare the 2 gcodes from Andy and me. Eventually you find the difference why it works on Andy?!
Thanks in advance.

When Print Shells i Optimal Order is disabled, it will cause issues with Vase Mode and Shells that's why it has some with Vase mode and some with Normal Mode.
When Print Shells in Optimal Order is enabled, it should have no issue any more.

Many Thanks Vicky. This solves the problems for many Boathull Printers.
This second layer allows us to reinforce on certain position the hull of the boat.
See the detail drawing above with the green shell.

The above future of using 2 shells in vase mode on certain places see the above datafiles is not working anymore on the updatet Version 4.2.x. Load the above file on your new Version and make a slicing then you can see it is not giving a new second green shell.
The last version 4.0.1.4802 it was working.

The Vase Mode will turn the structure of the model to be single think wall structure and go all the way spiral up. If there are multiple shells, the single spiral structure will be broken.
There was a bug in old versions causing multiple shells in mid of the print which turns the model not printed out as Vase Mode and adding start points.

Vicky but exactly this bug was fantastic to make second shell there where we added an addtional shell to reinforce the part. Please discuss with the programmer this future because ideamaker was the only program which can do this. In boatbuilding shell this was a super future and many of as changed to ideamaker because of this.
please let me know if your experts take this into consideration and i will publish this in the boatbuilding community!

Dear Vicky,
I like to print a vase shape, with 0.9 wall thickness. The nozzle is 0.4mm.
At the preview shows me only one single wall. Or devided 2 walls without infill. What can I do?
Thank you if you have time to answer.

Many greetings, Máté
