its great! true story. возьмите на карандаш =)

Would you like explain more about the purpose of only printing a part of the file?

No, no, not printing. Just slicing. For save time.. you slice just one process that has some heights..
There is two ways to slice-a-part in s3d i meant. =)

Today I came with another suggestion.
I did not found a way to change some PLATFORM ADDITION settings in modifiers.
More precisely, I wanted to use the brim only for this region and not do it throughout the model.

and in general with surprise I found so few settings for modifiers = (

ideaMaker currently can support moving the whole model down and using Cross Section to do partially slicing.

You don't want to use Brim for Supports? It may affect the adhesion of Supports.

I need brim for model only. Making brims for all the supports takes a lot of TIME. Supports are fine. And they has some perimetr line on\off .. i saw somewhere in IM, right?

OR...OR... we could use some ability to slice (pre-slice) only some height of the model..

I got another one!

it would be great if the program itself corrected such moments or mentioned them.

it's time to throw all energy into training slicers to THINK =)

Boundary may not large enough to cover all the supports and it doesn't work the same as Brim.
Using Modifer to control Brim size can probably work. We will see how we can improve here.

We will see how to improve user interface for this request in future version without going to to template everytime.

If the angle has been changed, the bottom of the model may be cut into individual parts. And each part will have different angles to get along with the support underneath.

Would be nice if IdeaMaker supported firmware retraction. Is there any way to implement this in current versions?

Thanks for your suggestions. The feature has been added into our developing list.

Hi, I want add some extra point to developing list ;)
possibility to control fan:
on layer (part of model exactly) over supports (normal and dense)
on layer over raft
on supports :)

When you print with PLA probably nothing change, but, when you print with for example ABS/ASA/PA this change a lot... You can easily remove supports/brim in this situation :)

There's a settings called Overhand shells fan speed. Please give it a try before we have new feature added.

I know and I used this functionality - it's brilliant :)
I also know, that I can run fan over raft using "Per layer settings" or fan control list on cooling tab.

But it will be wonderful, if it will be simple checkbox for it - just like to overhangs :)

What other settings you feel will be useful?

on layer (part of model exactly) over supports (normal and dense)
Different from the current Overhang settings?

on layer over raft
Fan speed for first layer? Not in Fan Speed List?

on supports
Fan Speed during printing support?

Yes :) In overhangs we want to create as much adhesion beetween layers, as we can.
Over supports, we want to get as low midlayer adhesion, as we can :)

Vicky@Raise3D wrote:on layer over raft

Fan speed list is OK (do not remove it ;P ), but when you print model on raft, first layer on fan speed list it's not first layer of model ;)
If you not change raft, model start on layer 6. So you need to add on layer 6 fan speed "XX", and on layer 7 fan speed "0". If you forgot, and disable raft, and not delete on fan speed list layer 6, your model (from ABS and similar materials) will be less robust, than you expect. And in most of scenarios, 6 layer is first without solid fill...

In case of checkbox, if you disable raft, you don't need to remember to also disable fan on fan list. If you enable raft, you don't need to remember to change fan control list and add fan on 6 layer, and disable it on layer 7.

Vicky@Raise3D wrote:on supports
Fan Speed during printing support?

yes :) of course not on first layer directly on bed ;)

If you print with support "All", you don't want to get big layer adhesion beetween model and support over model :)

Supports not need to be so strong as model ;) It will be easier to remove it, because they will be splitting between layers.

Template and filament sorting: Please sort filaments and profiles alphanumerically, or better yet, give us a way to sort them manually. This has been asked for before (including page 1 of this thread). This is a big usability issue for me.
