Nonplanar printing

Nonplanar printing improves the surface quality of top layers on parts by incorporating z-travel at the same time as x-y travel, this is especially useful when the upper surfaces of a part have very shallow slopes which accentuate the layer lines, such as spheres.

From what I can tell, it's still quite a new idea, the testing has been done using Slic3r but would love to see this feature implemented in a future version of Ideamaker

This is an interesting concept and I would also welcome the capability but it will only really be practical on a single extruder machine with lots of room around the nozzle. Nonplanar printing on my Pro 2 for instance will be severely limited because of the small difference in height between the active and inactive nozzle and between the active nozzle and the cooling fans. This leaves maybe an angle of 2 or 3 degrees to operate in. However it is right at the top part of a slope or curve where nonplanar printing helps most so who knows, it may actually work even on my machine.

I would love to see non planar capabilities in ideamaker!
I use ideamaker on multiple different printers and, while true that non planar on the N2 / pro 2 designs is folly, it would be greatly useful on my other printers.

+1 on that topic... I created a feature request in that thread https://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=5355

https://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php ... =40#p48892 to be exact...

I am not really sure what the difference is between the topics here in "Feauter reqeusts, ideas, whises" and the thread I linked above... seems to be a duplicate place for the same topics...
