I wanted to share our recent success in constructing a water cooled extruder head setup at our shop. We print a lot of ABS parts for weeks at a time and sometimes have issues with heat creep up the throat tube of the extruder block. This system keeps it cool.

If I had to design the drip tray again I would leave more room above the pump for the signage, but I'm happy with how everything turned out using Paul English's machined copper parts and instructions as a loose guide to our system. We printed the drip tray with ABS and painted it.
You can order the copper extruder cooling assembly by emailing this guy: penglish@englishmfginc.com
Parts:
- Water pump kit with fan ect.: https://www.filastruder.com/products/e3 ... ooling-kit
- Flow indicator: "https://www.amazon.com/Bel-Art-19937-0001-Indicators-Paddle-Tubing/dp/B00NG1ZFWI/ref=sr_1_2?crid=1SITZXH0CKID5&dchild=

- Tubing (slips right into pump tubing) - https://www.amazon.com/Wall-Superthane- ... ial&sr=1-1
- Light switch and 12v power supply. You can also power off the extruder board where the old cooling fan plugged in, but we wanted something we could turn on or off independently of the printer.
I'm happy to answer any questions about installation.

I really like your setup there and would like to make something similiar. It looks like you made your heat exchangers out of copper and was wondering if you had a pdf print or photo with print dimensions. I am a machinist by trade and would like to make some myself. Thanks for your help in the matter and thanks in advance.

Very awesome! I've ben having a lot of heat creep issues on my Pro2+ and both Pro3 we have.
Are these still available? Has anything been developed for the Pro3?
Thanks

Hmm, interesting to hear that the Pro3 has heat creep issues. With all the feedback over the last few years I would have thought that they'd have put some effort into fixing the problem.
