Spool holder for small hole and wide spools

Postby Trhuster » Sun May 08, 2016 2:56 pm

I have some stupied spools from Eumaker and their spools are just so bad. So i had to print out a new spool holder for it. I printed it with five shells so it will be stong enough despite the small diameter. http://www.eumakers.com/en/pla-filament ... black.html

Oh, sorry i have a N1 and spoolholder is at the back off the printer. So not the same for N2.

You can set up a spool stand outside the printer and drill a hole on the side door. Install the spare tubing and quick connector we provide in the accessory box in the hole and guide the filament in. Be careful with the hole location so the filament will not enter in a wired angle.

I also deisnged one which I put here: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1360118
The original CAD files are done in OnShape and you can find the files here (you'll need to create an onshape account - which is free):
https://cad.onshape.com/documents/dddb2 ... 7cf823d514

I setup a couple of parameters (#Diameter and #Width) to easily modify it and create custom variations.

I would like to put a 3Kg filament spool on the outside of Pro2 Plus. Any suggestion? Thanks!

For this large of a spool, we would recommend printing an external spool holder and place it and the spool above the printer to feed it directly into the printhead.
