Serial error: no such device or address

Postby oninotaki » Sat Dec 23, 2017 7:01 pm

Hello Raise3D Community

I am having a "Serial error: no such device or address" error with my Raise3D N2 Plus printer.

Last night I turned it off after completing a print, and this morning when I turned it back on I was given the above error. I have tried the following:
-the Retry button
-Restarting the printer
-Turning the printer off, unplugging it, plugging it back in, and turning it back on.

None of these have resolved the issue. Everything on the printer seems to turn on, and I have access to Safe mode which lets me get into the print and settings tabs on the touch screen. I can still see and access my usb drives that are plugged in, and the printer still has a record of all the work it has completed.

I have attached 3 images of the touch screen containing information that I think might help troubleshoot the problem. I am not certain where to go from here, but I did notice that no firmware version is listed.

Any help to get this guy up and running would be greatly appreciated.

Serial error is error due to bad communication between boards. Which may be caused by screen board, motion board, cable between and connections between. As the firmware version is not shown on the screen, it means that the screen cannot read the information from motion board properly.
I will more recommend you to shoot us a help ticket so that we can provide step by step checking list for you to check out.

Hello,

i've just change my touchscreen et i get this error
I update with 1.2.1 touchscreen but i get this message again.
I have a question there are 2 usb cables : a black one and and a blue one : do i have to plug these 2 usb cables ?
I read "how to replace the touchscreen assembly" and i don't recognize my touchscreen...

I have to repair it to produce shields for covid19

Thanks for your help
