2ND Led Light strip and cord

Postby rhines44 » Sun Jul 03, 2016 6:53 pm

Hi All,

I recently ordered the 2nd set of light strips and wiring for my N2. Apparently I purchased 2 sets. Would anyone like to purchase the 2nd set from me? $22.00 + paypal fees shipped in the US. The strip directly matches the right side and the wiring is plug and play. I removed the door/side acrylic, hung the corner over the edge of my table and fed the wiring through the cable guide and zip tied along the harness. Plugged into the open 12v port.

What a difference it makes!

Wow, what a difference the 2nd led light strip makes! rhines44 was very prompt in shipping this to me. Just got it installed and I can see so much better inside. I thought about using a generic led strip wanted a match set so the color temperature would be the same.

Thanks rhines44!

No problem at all and you're welcome. I almost purchased one from Amazon but would also rather they match.

Make sure you get 1 LED and 1 wire.
I asked R3D a few times to be certain I was getting one but still ended up paying for 2 Leds and 2 wires.

Being in the UK it will be darned expensive to have the Raise3D light strip sent here so just wondering if I can use any 12v LED strip. I actually have plenty here (self-adhesive cut to length type) so just wondering if that can be used?

Thanks

Don't see why not... You could replace the one already there.

Also heard from Michael H, that we should see the LED strips available on the store in the next few weeks,

The power consumption should not be too high. Or the printer cannot afford. Suggest do not over 12W.

Thanks Vicky.

I think what I have here will be just fine as I use them on my quadcopters for orientation lighting and they use next to no power. Thanks.

Yep, really like the second strip... Must have, and should be there from the factory.

Could I get a picture of the 12v outlet to use on the controller board? Not sure where to plug mine in.

Never mind. Apparently mine was already prewired for the lights but did not have the lights. I just plugged them in.

Very good.

One thing to know is that if all the receptacles are filled, you already have a cable wired in and it will terminate in the top back corner right where it is needed for the 2nd lighting strip. Just cut the tie down strip and it will then be able to plug right in to your lighting strip.
