Re: Printer Filament Monitor
Actually we have already completed the software parts, and started testing the hardware samples.
If you have any interest in our codes, attached a link for you to download and check:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=593&p=16495&hilit=filament+monitor#p16495
The out filament detecting function can be currently achieved by an endstop switch.

Re: Printer Filament Monitor
An update to what Vicky previously mentioned, we are preparing for our Pre-order phase of the Filament detection system. We should have some more solid info for you guys by the end of this year. We want to be able to provide the correct info all at once rather then piece it out over time now.

Any information about the new detection system?
Where does it mount?
Does it detect a clogged nozzle like originally intended in this thread, or does it just do run out?
After it pauses on a empty spool, what are the steps? Is it simple as unload command, load a new spool, purge and continue?
I'm assuming there is going to be some software updates required as well.

Re: Printer Filament Monitor
Great news! I have contacted the Belgian reseller as I can't order from the Raise3D store in the Netherlands (even though Raise3D has an office here). I hope I can order it somewhere..
I heard it has detection for dual nozzle systems, that is awesome. Can't wait to install it

It is a pre-sale project. Please order and leave your information on website directly. Later we will make contact with you for more information and pass the customer and shipping information to the reseller you choose when it is ready to ship out.
Re: Printer Filament Monitor
based on the design, it looks like this unit fits on top of the stock extruder block. you might want to note that. people with bondtech extruders will not be able to use this part.

Re: Printer Filament Monitor
another load on the print head.....where is the clogging detection? The chosen technology (optical sensor) will not allow to monitor that.
good news for bondetech user custom solution exist and works well (mechanical endstop or optical).

That's why I want a little more info before pre-ordering, and benefits it would provide over just a simple e-stop switch. I expect full specs, just some main features before ordering.
Looks hopeful for sure and I'm excited to use it.

Re: Printer Filament Monitor
I tried to order, it stops at the payment page and asks for Credit card info. I don't have this, is the order still visible (my cart stays updated after leaving) so my order can be paid via resellers?

Re: Printer Filament Monitor
For more details about the tech specs of the sensor, we will release later.
No need to be rush with the purchase decision, the pre-order won't be closed until March as far as I know. And even if you miss the pre-order, this part will still be there as a normal sales part after pre-order end.

Which website did you try to carry out the order? raise3d.com or raise3d.eu?
If you are in Sweden, the raise3d.eu should can work for you.
Attached the link: https://www.raise3d.eu/collections/add- ... out-sensor
If still doesn't work, please advise.
