layer shifting ?

Postby Steadipanda » Wed Mar 25, 2020 6:49 pm

Hi. my pro2 just all of a sudden started shifting layers.

I've submitted a ticket already but just in case if anyone has wisdom to share their knowledge before i get an official answer

it seems to me the left nozzle is more severe then the right.

I've disassembled the printer, all rods are straight, both x/y couplers are still in one piece. all screws are tight. belts are tight( tried both regular tight and tight tight. same result).

I haven't messed with jerk or acceleration settings at all. its the factory 5mm/s jerk (its PRO2 series)

filament feeding is the same way.

Black filament was a week ago shows my printer used to be capable

any thoughts?

yeah I've narrowed down to the layer start point and seam hiding options

you have to choose the layer start point as Fixed. and sean hiding to NONE. its a ideamaker bug when it changes layer start point it will squish that layer more......making the wall uneven.

downside is now you have a huge vertical scar (layer start point) along the outside wall. but at least any holes you print now will have a clean inside wall...
