Viewing Camera Feed

Postby Ikoth » Fri Nov 02, 2018 7:23 pm

Hi there,

can the camera output be viewed directly through a browser, or only via IdeaMaker?

Thanks.

Currently only ideaMaker. Once we open RaiseCloud, you can view your print via camera through a browser with RaiseCloud.

I won't be exposing any devices on my network to a cloud provider, but thanks anyway.

According to the API documentation, there IS a camera server running on port 30216.

Browsing to it pops up an authentication panel. Does anyone know the default username & password??

Hi,

I installed my camera yesterday. And asked myself the same question. So I started Wireshark while running camera on ideaMaker. Its output included one HTTP Request:
http://<<IP_Address>>:30216/api/v1/camera/stream
Credentials:raise3d_camera:276304db46dd44878eb8622d1886961d

Using this User and Password in Browser worked for me. I can watch the video in any IP Cam View software now.
But Quality is fucking ugly! What resolution is it? CIF?

Wireshark! Excellent suggestion. Dunno why I didn't think of that. ;)

As the camera feed appears to be an API call, I suspect you will need that enabling.

I also used WireShark to capture the conversation between the printer and Ideamaker. This found the credentials I needed, which I used to form the URL:

I know have a the video feed in a browser :-)
