retraction on top and bottom layers
retraction on top and bottom layers
Hello,
Can you explain to me why it does not retract at the marked point? I set "avoid retraction inside model" but also "enable retraction at bottom and top of models" each of 2 layers. In the image there is the second layer.
It also happens on other top and bottom layers of the model.
thanks a lot

Re: retraction on top and bottom layers
Can you save your model as .idea in ideaMaker and share with us to run some test?

Re: retraction on top and bottom layers
Do you mind share us the .gcode and .data files sliced with this .idea file?
We use our setting but cant recreate the same issue. We want to compare with your settings and result.

Re: retraction on top and bottom layers
i find the problem on all models. In the image you can see the top surface solid fill layer, there is retraction when change wall of hole, but not when move to another position.
P.S.
I don't know why on 2 of 4 hole retracts between inner and outer sheel and in the other 2 no (minimal travel of retraction set to 0.80mm)

We have tried to slice with your .diea file but cant recreate the same issue.
Can you share your .gcode and .date files so that we can compare our settings with yours?

Re: retraction on top and bottom layers
After slicing completes, ideaMaker will create .data file together with .gcode file. You should be able to find both files under the same folder.
Re: retraction on top and bottom layers
i'm able to see only gcode file.
any suggestions?

In printer settings, Advanced tab you can select to create *.data files

Re: retraction on top and bottom layers
Sorry for late response.
Because there is already retraction being enabled at the layer before, so there's not another retraction for the first travel for current layer.

Hi,
Sorry but i don't understand.
I set "avoid retraction inside model" but also "enable retraction at bottom and top of models" each of 2 layer. Problem Is on the second layer. how can i solved? i must force retraction anywhere?

Re: retraction on top and bottom layers
We have run some more tests accoridng to your feedback and found a bug with display in ideaMaker related to showing Retraction with X.
If you select not showing Infill you will see the retration at the beginning or you can move the bar to the first travel.

ok, thanks a lot.
I will try with some test, but i noticed that problem while printing not from the preview, so on that travel was no retraction.

Re: retraction on top and bottom layers
We dont have a Delta printer on hand at the moment to test your slice but from your gcode, there's retration existing.
