Force z-seam location?

Postby bitskrieg » Sat Nov 20, 2021 3:00 pm

I am trying to print the attached STL with a specific z-seam location that is not on a corner. The part needs to attach to other parts where the corners are located, so bulges, etc. can't be present. I am trying to force the z-seam to be in a specific location using X/Y coordinates, but ideamaker seems to want to place it on a corner anyway.

Is there a way to force ideamaker to place a z-seam directly on a face even when a corner is available?

The issue here is most likely due to the place you want the seam it is considered an overhang and turning off the setting in the bottom left corner where it stops the overhang from printing may fix this.
