Why this big difference between S3D and IDM in support generation ?

You can try support with larger pillar size.

it is working only if selecting "pillar mode" and not "normal", why ?

With normal type support, ideaMaker will use smaller sampling size to take sample to generate support.
There will be no defined sampling size to generate pillar type support. The size of each pillar is the size of sampling.
