We would recommend to review ideaMaker's gcode in ideaMaker's preview just in case S3D may can't show some codes generated by ideaMaker properly.
You can modify the Top Surface Layers to be 0.

To avoid misunderstandings: Ideamaker shows the layering correctly. However, the printing is done as S3D shows in the preview. Since this is difficult to depict photographically due to the filament color, I used S3D for the visualization. In contrast to ideaMaker, S3D cut and printed the file correctly.

This option is mainly for when infill is Grid or solid fill is Lines, applying Coasting in Infill or Soliid Fill.
If you have model can't print out with properly related to the feature, please share .gcode, .data and .idea files with us.

That works now. But why doesn't ideaMaker show this in the print preview?

From what we have seen is this part can be found in Gcode file. ideaMaker shows it correctly. S3D didn't show it.
