ideaMaker add garbage after model slicing

Postby patlas » Thu Jun 25, 2020 3:19 pm

Hi,
recently I have moved to ideaMaker with my custom printer and I feel its great. But unfortunately I have ugly problem with slicing some models. Take a look at attached photos (one is model screen, second one show slicing effect). Can somebody tell my why slicer add such ugly spots (marked yellow)?

Same problem occure e.g in https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:33803 ... MVDT1fZHlw at castle components.

P.S. That problem does not occur in cura/slic3r so its not model problem.

I'm attaching stl model and my filament configuration for ideaMaker.

The result should be affected by Thin Wall detection. Try uncheck the Thin Wall option under Other tab and see whether the result gets better or not.

I have just find that option, disable and test it fix major issue a little bit but if I uncheck this option while slicing calibartion cube (with castle) it remove small detail in "castle". In the same configuration in cura software (latest one) such details lost does not occure in the same configuration of all known parameters.

Would you like to share the model file with us? .idea or .stl both works.
And also your settings with .gcode and .data files?

This is only one suggestion. Using your config try this: Go to the "other" tab check thin wall option and set "Minimal Extrusion Width Percentage" to 200%. Default is 25%

Return to “Software”
