Sharp corners

Postby Utriv » Fri Feb 08, 2019 5:50 pm

Hello,
I am totaly new with IdeaMaker (but i love it's graphic user interface). After few days of trying sync it with my home made 3d printer i find new problem. My corners are not so sharp as they should be. I think i could be something wrong with slicing settings.

Do you have similar issue when printing? I believe it is only shown like that in Preview. Those are the layer start points.

You can have a look of Seam Hiding options. Placing seam on corner may can help your issue.

Would you like to share some pictures of your printing result?
And would you like to share the settings in Slic3r and gcode file from ideaMaker?

Would you like to clarify whether the picture you attached above is printed by ideaMaker or S3D?
Would you mind to share me the gcode files from ideaMaker and S3D to compare the difference?

This object was printed using IdeaMaker. Currently, I do not have access to a computer with my slic3r.

I attach g-code file from ideamaker

As we have no experience with your printer, we may need to get your files from Slic3r to compare the ones from ideaMaker.

BTW, have you ever tried the option of place seam on reflex corner or not? It can help hide seams onto the reflex corner which are not that obvious to see them.
