API camera stream format

Postby Fiesel » Sat Jan 26, 2019 11:54 am

We can request camerserver_URI, username and password via API calls which is sufficient to construct an URL to camera stream.

The server identifes itself as MXCCameraServer/0.1.2, some googling and poking around in the RaiseTouch environment via ssh revealed that its one of Raise3Ds propriatery components.
I tried a few RTSP queries on the stream but got no valid responses, a simple HTTP GET responds with HTTP/1.1 501 Not Implemented.
Are there any docs available about format and protocol of the video stream?

here is a curl for reference:

Code: Select all

[fk@linux ~]$ curl -vvv http://raise3d_camera:cf5e6f5b2b864757964e053c5b9b3dd1@192.168.178.61:30216/api/v1/camera/auth_stream

We have not yet opened camera in API by now. But will feedback your needs to developing team to see whether we can achieve it in future.

If you need this feature very badly, I will need to ask Developing Team to see whether they can generate a beta version for you having this feature included.

Thank you for the answer. I would not say I need it "very badly" but that would be cleaner than what I am trying to do.
(periodically taking snapshots and copying them to the gateway, that assemble them, before streaming outside)

We found that the current package has already included the feature you are looking for.
We will need to modify the auth_stream to be stream. Here is an example:
http://192.168.188.107:30216/api/v1/camera/stream
The user authentication protool will be Basic Auth.

Sorry if the question looks stupid but what is the username and password to use ? Tried "admin/no password", R3D cloud login, ...
As I have several other cameras to monitor my CNC, it would be good that the E2 can be monitored with the same software tool and that stream looks what I would need.

Sorry for not replying on time.
In the following section of the API page, you can find information related to User and Password.
