IM v2.4.0 Print with Support

Postby jvingaard » Wed Jan 11, 2017 4:58 pm

Hi,
After updating to ideaMaker v.2.4.0, I wanted to test a print with PVA Support,
but it seems to stop the print, when the support structure ended. not finishing the print.
I went to Simplify3D and importet the gcode, and it looked very strange.

Did the non-support print up until then?

yes! It printet the object and support up to, when the support ended.
It seems to happen when i changed the support, to be printed with the left extruder. ?
If i print it with the right extruder, the print comes out ok! also the gcode looks right.

Have tried to install v2.3.0 with same result. It seems to happen, when i want to print with different filament, no matter which
extruder i chose. it just moves the support , to the left or right.

check the preview , wind up one layer at a time, to see if this was what it thought it was supposed to do.

Hello Walshig,
Strange!! Somehow the offset, was change from x25 to y25 don't know how?
but when i change it back, then it fine again. :-o
Have you change the offset for both x and y after you have, had the heater block out.

ideaMaker sets a 25mm's offset for the distance between two nozzles in X direction by default.
But S3D doesn't know how much offset ideaMaker has.
The parameters in format are not the same between ideaMaker and S3D.

If you have moved hotend, please do a dual-calibration test to check whether the default (25,0) is suit for you.
