The right extruder motor don't function on Raise3D Pro3 Plus

Postby easysofts » Mon Aug 28, 2023 2:52 pm

Note: I can print perfectly with left extruder

But The right extruder don't function on Raise3D Pro3 Plus

problem : I can't load or unload filament on right (motor vibrate)

Resume, To memory:
1 -I disassemble the right extruder and take it out of the printer
2 - Then I connect a functional motor (functional and tested, the motor that is normally installed for the left extruder) directly on the connector of the board on the right (EXTRUDER CONTROLLER BOARD).
3 - it doesn't work either.

I replaced the EXTRUDER CONTROLLER BOARD, and updated, no change

I checked the Hotend Controller Board (the old and the new one) if the fuses are not OL : on the 2 left and right fuses, the current passes normally.

NOTES:
A / the right extruder cannot be the culprit in this case, since it is not present in the printer.
B / The Hotend Controller Board cannot be the culprit in this case, It's new product

Problem : no dealers within 500km, and I bought my printer in Germany over 1000 km away.

In 16 months : I printed 67 days exclusively on left extruder, 59 files and 12 kg of basic PLA premium. I printed 77 min in total with the right extruder but garanty passed since 1 month...

Like a voltage problem, the motor vibrates back and forth without turning normally ?

Flat Cable or Motion Controller Board ?

I really need help online.

 Community, Have you an idea ?

So far we know that:
- The extruder has been removed so it should not be impeding the motor's movement
- A different extruder motor has been tested (still does not work)
- The HCB/ECB was replaced
- Board fuses have been tested (they check out)

I believe this may be related to the flat PC cable as it could be that the extruder motor's movement may be affected if the cable is damaged enough. You can try testing this out by setting the right extruder to load and then gently moving the flat PC cable from side to side and seeing if it affects the motor's behavior. If it does, chances are that the PC cable is at fault after all.

Hello Manuel,

I've tried moving the cable as you say, but nothing changes. What's more, it's visually in perfect condition, with no sign of pinching or bumping.
I've just ordered a new cable, to be sure.

Do you have any other ideas?
