No updates. The front extruder fans are hardwired to 24vdc, so the only way to turn them off is by powering the printer down.

The super loud, growly rear fan can be disabled via the Tune tab on the touch screen once a print starts. You may be able to turn it off via the slicer somehow. I don't use IdeaMaker, so I don't know.

The side "Print cooling fans" are set by the slicer settings and can be disabled via the slicer. The can also be turned off via Advanced settings on the touch screen.

In my opinion, there is no excuse for the team not delivering on this. These are expensive machines and hardware is a fairly easy fix and the "part shortage" excuse is coming to a close.

So we have the new Hyper FFF upgrade and no new post from Raised in this section? However, no new exhaust fans either, unsure why they do not focus on add-ons for their printers. I think Hyper FFF is really cool and a great start to future upgrades. I'd also be curious as to how much life the increased speed takes off of certain components("Speed Kills").

Well, I've got to give credit where it's due. I have the Hyper FFF installed using latest Raisetouch firmware. The hot end cooling fans DO now power down when the hot end is cool. With my Noctua fan modification and now the fans powering down properly, my Pro 3 plus is nearly silent when not assigned a task. It's a glorious day.

To clarify, the fans we've been discussing:
-Exhaust Fan @ HEPA filter> Seemingly not causing problems.
-Chamber or external part cooling fan > Not PWM, and loud when running (see modification noted for Noctua)
-Hot End layer cooling fan > PWM fans, working as expected
-Hot End cooling fan > Constantly on from factory and annoyingly loud. Hyper FFF upgrade seems to have addressed the ON/OFF issue. Not sure if this is a simple firmware upgrade possible for all Pro 3's or a consequence of the new Hyper FFF Hotend design.

The front fans are part of the extruder assembly and on the same ribbon cable as the heater cartridge, thermistor, etc. They cannot be unplugged and I would not recommend it even if they could as they're critical to extruder temperature control. Even if they could be unplugged or put on a switch, I wouldn't do it. These connectors are garbage and break very easily and you can just as easily switch the printer off.

I don't think there's a need to unplug any fans. The side part cooling fans and the large back one (external air flow manager) are both software controlled, so easy to just leave off. The only ones that are permanently one are the tiny ones at the front of each hot end and those are needed to keep the hot end from over-heating. My right side one was making noise because it was rattling again the plastic side mount a bid. I was able to adjust it and now the noise is minimal/normal. And the noisy external air flow manager I only use for some PLA prints.

Has anyone managed to replace a hotend fan? I have a hotend that is now constantly jamming where another hotend (a spare I bought just in case) works great with the same gcode. Support is suggesting that maybe the fan is worn out and not cooling the hotend enough. That should be an easy swap if that's the issue. They are telling me they do not recommend changing fans and they are "working on getting spare parts for these hotends available". They are also telling me that they consider the hotend (that costs $130) to be a "consumable"!!! I've had this thing for a year, this is ridiculous. The model for making a profit off us consumers is quite clear isn't it?

So yeah, anyone attempted swapping the hotend fan out? I'm not ready to just give up on a very expensive part because of a $10 fan with a couple of wires connecting it.

Replacing the Pro3 hotend fan is not recommended due to the room for error when securing the fan plate as the fan wires can easily become pinched if not routed properly. This can lead to a short and/or that replacement fan no longer working. I was able to locate a front hotend fan from a hotend we no longer use from our office that we can send you as a one-time courtesy. Please keep in mind that the hotends are considered consumables due to them being a wear product (warranty goes more into detail under the section "consumables and excluded items": https://s1.raise3d.com/2022/03/Raise3D- ... ev-3.0.pdf). I have found you support ticket and will include some instructions on how to replace this fan.

You suggest not replacing the (not working) fan because it might cause a short, ruining the (new) fan? Did I understand you correctly?

Thank you, I would really appreciate that. Can you please tell me the voltage of the replacement fan?

Have you checked the PTFE Tube in the heatbreak? If it is worn out (PTFE could shrink over time) Then clogging could appear.

Replacing the old fan wouldn't cause concern, it's installing the new one where the new fan wires can be pinched and may cause issues. I believe the new fan should be arriving shortly or may have already arrived. If it has arrived, is the hotend now working well with that replacement fan?
