Error 3048 - Heating fault

Postby Perfidoclone » Fri May 06, 2022 4:21 pm

Hello,
I have just bought the 3 Pro but I have a big problem with the right heater.
When I use 2 filaments, one for support at 225 Celsius and one PLA at 200 Celsius and come out an error 3048.
I have 3 extrusors so I changed the right because I think it could be broken but nothing change, so I try to inverte the two filaments but the result is the same, error 3048.
What it could be?

Can I have you try updating your touch screen to the latest version of 1.4.3 found here https://www.raise3d.com/download/ and once you have updated can I have you click the gear icon in the top right corner of the touch screen then click update→ local update → MCB firmware and run both files here and then try the print again and see if the issue still occurs.

I'm unfortunately having the same issue. Trying to print PA12 CF and the extruder doesn't seem to stay at temp. Keep us posted if you're able to fix it.

My fault was “it’s taking longer than expected to heat left extruder” error. Left hot end fails to heat, and fan won’t spin. I swapped out a completely new hot-end assembly, same exact problem. Ran through the series of troubleshooting recommended by support (update firmware for hot end board, hit reset button on hot end board, unplug left extruder from hot end board and plug back in etc etc). No changes. So now they claim to be sending me a replacement hot end board, but I haven’t seen it ship yet. Had it in operation 4 days. It’s now been down 5. My customer wants their part. Their customer wants their part. Good luck.

Yep. A handful actually. RMF500, Forge1, D200, and F200. Or “Metalfuse” as a package. They are aggressively chasing those commercial dollars, and I suspect they always have been. The sale of AM parts and services has grown to nearly $12 billion of the $14 trillion manufacturing industry. (Forbes) Industry experts expect AM growth to continue, with AM potentially becoming a $26.6 billion industry by 2027. I suspect Mr. Edward Feng (Raise3D CEO) has known this from the beginning. Any Venture Capitalist could see that potentialy untapped markets potential. And it's not going to come from small businesses and hobbyists.

Indeed dumping a carbon printer on the market what seems only to print filament of 220euro a spool.

I try to imagine why YOU ALL accept this. You the first customers who make Raise3D great and what it is today. You all accept what ever Raise3D decide. Indeed it’s hard to commit when buying a expensive printer, to say sorry I was wrong. Be honest and commit you did buy shit. Compare the pro3 to a factor 10 cheaper Prusa, and see you are fooled. Fine with me when you trow your money to the trash bin. Fine with mee to fool yourself. I quit and don’t give any credits to Raise3D.

Documents are not updated. IdeaMaker profiles are not up to date. A lot of errors on the hw of the printer. Last but not leaste the hepa filter it not functioning. You have a dangerous printer because the pro3 is not filtering the hasart air. Spare parts are not available. And a funny one there is no Z compensation on the current printers because the N2 did not need one. Have a look at the forum here for the great Vicky answer.

No I’m not frustrated no I’m not depending on medication, no I’m not dronk. No I’m not high on drugs, I’m a customer who like to have the best of the best. I like to pay but I expect a return. Raise3D is stated to provide continuously and duration. Have a look on this forum on the heating problems. Users who cannot deliver to customers because spareparts are not available. THIS A BIG SHAME

Can I have you create a support ticket as this issue is likely due to the hot end control board located on the back of the print head assembly and if you can speak with one of our support agents we can look into get a replacement sent out. If you are located overseas then I would reccomend reaching out to your reseller and see if this is something that they have or can reach out directly to their point of contact with Raise3d to see if this board can be swapped.

My board arrived today and after a convoluted update sequence (RaiseTouch, then Motion Board, then hot end board) it’s printing away. Careful unplugging those left and right hot end plugs. They’re delicate. I’m a little worried as this board has the same build date and version as the last one, but I’ll keep you all updated.

Nice it works but how do you feel when you buy a new car, and in 16 weeks you will get a new engine. Raise is bringing shit to the market, and show how great they are by sending spare parts. This wouldn’t never happens. What are you expecting, I expect for 7500euro a well designed printer with limited issues. Meanwhile my dealer told me do not expect any updates. The printer is in production and noting will change. Being critical he told me is negative. Coming Monday my printer is returning to the dealer (I hope). This is the way how Raise3D kills critical users.

I bought Raise pro3 to have the best, in reality you buy an Ender3 with an enclosure. And as long you all expected this way of working Raise3D will continue. They told me do not expect any software updates, we are working on expensive industrial printers.
