Poorly made E2 Extruder Gears

Postby ProjectCloned » Sat Sep 23, 2023 3:42 pm

Uncertain if others have faced problems while printing using materials on the E2, but it appears that a significant problem
with the E2 lies in the low-quality plastic gear responsible for material feeding into the system.

I've encountered similar issues with budget printers in the past, and replacing the plastic gear with a metal one completely resolves the problem, including material extrusion issues.

Could someone confirm if the Raise3D E2CF Gears are compatible with the E2 print head?

I'm searching for a solution to address the subpar performance of my current gears. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. :?

Unfortunately, the E2CF drive gear is not compatible with the standard E2, however, I can ask our development team and see if there is an updated gear in mind for the E2 or not.

If the current one is damaged/worn, there is the option to replace it in the meantime if needed: https://www.raise3d.com/products/extrud ... r-e2-only/

Our development team would like to know if the damaged gear was the result of printing with non-abrasive or abrasive filaments. In the event that the damage was caused over time due to standard materials with no abrasive additives, they'd like to know so that they can continue to try and improve these parts that are made with those materials.
