Any response to future updates? Multi material printing is still in the fledgling stages!
What about the stopping bug after each layer proschi3d mentioned years ago? There is still no fluid motion between layers!!!
And what about an update to ideamaker? This software is so beta! Generating support is not even close to other manufacurers!
They had features in 2018 raise3d's ideamaker doesn't even have 2023. And this is supposed to be a premium product.
I'm so dissapointed in spending almost 4000€ in a beta product. Come on Raise3D is this your claim? You can do better!!!

Update from the RaiseTouch team:
Unfortunately, due to development resource constraints, the release plan for E2 update is not yet clear.
We will try to release a new version as soon as we have sufficient manpower.

Youth unemployment is around 40% in china right now and getting worse. Plenty have advanced degrees. General population employment is decimated in China right now, too. There's no problem HIRING willing people there (cheap, even!) to work on getting a comprehensive firmware update out by the end of the year. Question is, will Raise3D DO IT?
Based on the terrible support for the E2 (including this non-answer) and much stronger competition from other printers lately, I can't seen ANYONE recommending Raise3D as a printer choice.

Re: E2 Firmware Updates
I apologize that we are currently unable to deliver the firmware update for the E2 as planned. Unfortunately, this was the answer that was relayed to me but I do hope this does change in the near future.

I'm not blaming YOU, you're just taking the bullets for the chinese side, I get that.
Going about 18 months with NO UPDATE AT ALL on a $3500 printer that is full of bugs and needs UI issues resolved is crazy when I get updates every month or two on my PRUSAs that cost $800 and print even better overall now. The only advantage E2 has is IDEX and (somewhat) filtered enclosure. That's it. And you can buy the enclosure as an add-on for the MK3 and 4. No idea where Raise3D's head is at unless they're just walking away from the E2s.

Exactly my thoughts!
I don't get it, i though i'd buy a premium printer from a premium brand.
But after all i've read... god damn it, why did i buy this expensive piece of ....".
If i would have found this forum earlier, i would have never bought this printer!!!
Proschi3D had to change the board and a lot of other stuff to make it a great machine... but this should already be the case out of the factory! A lot of problems i've never had with my almost 10 year old zortrax.
Should have bought a bamboo lab carbon X1

Re: E2 Firmware Updates
I'm actually fiting with the Z-Offset and ASA Filment. The missing Baby-Steps makes the process wery timeconsuming.
And I cannot see an improvement in the firmware and also IdeaMaker needs improovement.

Re: E2 Firmware Updates
Hi everybody,
In term of hardware, E2 is very well designed. You feel very comfortable with such printer. Ideamaker is also very user friendly.
Unfortunately, the E2 firmware far, far behind the hardware. Serious update, in my point of view is mandatory.
The cost of this printer, for an individual is a reel sacrifice, but I needed an enclosed printer in order to print asa and only asa. I thought Raise3d was a good solution.
So, actually offset tuning is a real nigntmare, replacement of asa with reels of pla is not justified, we know that different filament require drying and especially PLA!! A majority of us have active dryers (not only dessicant bags!).
We need to adjust offsets with the material we use daily.
Franckly speaking I am trying to depart this E2 even at less than half the cost because of this lack of users consideration.
Unfortunately now there are some game changers and it is quite impossible to sell printer which has no future, although this printer is still sold by distributors!
Sorry for the terms but I am really upset not to use my E2 because life is short and I will not spend my life tinkering only for offset adjustments. Actually I use my Prusa's and a brand new 4 colors chinese printer with monthly updates.
Your respectfully

Let's be clear. NO ONE should support the Chinese thieves and likely spies at Bamboo Lab that take from the open source community and call that their own and give nothing back. The more I dig into Raise, the more I realize they have done similar things with their boardset and I'm not cool with that. I don't care how great the printing on a Bamboo anything is, I'd NEVER support that company because they will kill the open source community progression if they become dominant just by the way they steal and do not support.

Pretty sure this is the mindset of all current Raise 3D users. I have FOUR E2 printers, and they have served their purpose, but all have needed upgrades to perform acceptably, and now with 18 months and no firmware updates while the E2CF has received 3 or 4 updates in that time, I can only conclude that Raise is into abandoning products.
I have two MK4 printers now (sold my MK3s, bought 2 MK4) and as soon as the filtered and lit enclosure with the quick release power supply option is available, I will start liquidating my E2s and moving over to making an all MK4 farm, and getting one PRUSA XL for the large bed projects. I don't think I am alone in creating a Raise exit strategy that has already started.
Re: E2 Firmware Updates
Hi, the actual E2 firmware is based on DC42 RepRap fork (version 2.01). Can you rebase the firmware with RepRap 3.4.6 or newer?
This version implements input shaping for better print quality and faster print.
Thank you very much.
Mario.

If they won't fix actual bugs in the E2 firmware, they aren't looking to do any work. It's over for E2.
