Hello,
I use a Raspberry Pi 4 8GB on which the Repetier Host software runs.

Re: E2 Paused printing
I'm just wondering if the possible logic board problem is what's happening with my current problem...
https://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=21660
The G-Code has been checked and there is no apparent problem there
There has been no response from the Raise people that post here and it seems as if it is being ignored, very disappointed by their lack of some sort of a reply.
At the moment I'm waiting for the printer to be collected and returned to my UK reseller to investigate. It's still under warranty and if it turns out to be a logic board problem that can't be resolved because of Raise3D not being interested, then this will be the second E2 returned.
I really do hope the problem can be cured because my UK reseller has always given first class service and backup.

Re: E2 Paused printing
Very interesting thread and thanks to all for the info.
Why has Raise3d not responded here?
This printer head random pause seems to be quite wide spread.
Surely raise3d can respond here with a proposed fix????

I would suggest creating a support ticket so that one of our technical support engineers can better assist you in resolving the issue.
Re: E2 Paused printing
Seriously Steven!
You can easily see that there is many people which have this problem on the E2!
You should instead find a solution that will fix this for all people who have the problem. A few of us are from Europe and the ticket will just be closed.

Re: E2 Paused printing
I also have this is issue. Its been on and off since I got the printer, especially with see through filaments, but now its just pausing prints all the time. Really annoying. This is the exact reason I spent £3000 on a printer rather than £300 because I didn't want to be modding or constantly fixing parts...
Re: E2 Paused printing
The fact that buyers in other countries only find out that there is no manufacturer support after purchase is a poor business model IMHO.
In my present case it goes like this.........
Post here about a problem because I am now aware there is no direct manufacturer support, after several days delay just get a comment from one of the Raise3D people that post on here, but no actual help.
Contact my supplier in the UK on May 10th and my printer is collected for checking, now three weeks later my supplier is waiting for a reply from Raise3D because they cannot resolve the problem, ( seems to be the way the G-code is translated when the printer gets warm ).
I hope my supplier does not ask me to wait until Raise3D come up with an answer because the printer is still under warranty and if there is no remedy forthcoming I will be requesting a refund. Even in a best case scenario and the problem is sorted it will be at minimum at least another week that I have not had a useable printer.
The other thing that concerns me is whether it is just a fault on my printer or something that has only just come to light and even if I am offered a replacement will the fault still be there on a replacement.

Re: E2 Paused printing
Reviving the old thread, the problem is still there, very frustrating.
The motion controller firmware updates do not fix the problem and no new raisetouch since looong time.
The repetier-server-or-octoprint plugged directly to the control board is still the only way to go?

Re: E2 Paused printing
Can you let me know what version of the Motion control board firmware you are on as we have pushed an update since this thread was created that fixed this issue?
Re: E2 Paused printing
Version 0.3.1026 – Nov 3, 2021
As you correctly stated on the release notes "Reduce the risks of random pauses in high-speed printing and short-segment printing with the reduced communication bandwidth between the motion controller board and the touch screen".
Reduce, do not eliminate.
If I connect a repetier-server raspberry directly to the motion board by usb I can print finally the exact same gcode without any pause, a smooth wonderful print.
The Duet clone motion board works well, the problem is on the RaiseTouch side.

Re: E2 Paused printing
Thank you for the update. I can reach out to our Raise touch development about your concerns.
Re: E2 Paused printing
I had a custom firmware about a t-year and a half ago that fixed the problem but now with all the updates my problem is back. I sent a support ticket but have not heard anything yet. This is terrible.
