Re: E2 Paused printing
That firmware has since been updated on and the issue you are seeing is very likely due to another issue than the firmware as the code that should have fixed this issue has been integrated into the newest firmware.
Re: E2 Paused printing
Dear Raise3D, I would like to inform you that the problem described in this thread is still valid. It is very easy to test this by printing some cylinder in vase mode. Please take a serious care of it.

Re: E2 Paused printing
The problem cannot be resolved. unless you send the gcode directly to the motionboard via a Raspberry and octoprint.

Re: E2 Paused printing
I do not have this printer, but I have been doing a lot of research to find my next upgrade to a dual extruder (preferably IDEX). It seems every printer has some or other issue....
As far as this issue is concerned can it be solved by turning off power loss recovery? Reason I ask is this problem occurs in some other printers as well, as there is a delay whilst the positional information is saved. Naturally this would only cause a problem when the bandwidth is high such as gyroid infill or vase mode. A link to what I am describing- https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qi7QX1QhxuQ
As a side note I am shocked at how appalling Raise3D's support is. Even though this E2 was the printer I had settled on, going through these forums and the lack of help and generic "raise a support ticket" (with no such options for those of us not in the US) has really got me reconsidering. Not to mention the way they have no interest in assisting with the E2CF dual gear extruder upgrade, and those that do have a E2CF are firmware locked into only printing select filaments....

Re: E2 Paused printing
I don't think there is a way to turn off recovery mode manually.
I'll have to take a look when I get a chance

Since the E2CF has the same hardware as the E2 except for the extruders, it shouldn't be a problem to use the E2's firmware.
then only the steps of the extruder would have to be adjusted.
however, they do not agree with the E2 upon delivery anyway

My post took so long for approval I thought it had been denied.... I did think about whether it was possible to purchase the E2CF and load the E2's firmware but quickly dismissed that thought, as I would imagine Raise3D has put checks in place to block that from happening? Also I have not come across a post of anyone who has done it. If it can be done this would be the way for sure.

I'm installing a Duet 3 Wifi on my E2 Now.
Will then report how it runs with it
Re: E2 Paused printing
I have now successfully installed a Duet 3 Mini.
And I have to say that the print quality is a lot better.
Of course, the annoying pausing for cylinders etc. is also history.
now i am open source.
I can now set and program what I want

Re: E2 Paused printing
Here is a first small video of a test print after the conversion to the Duet 3 mini.
if there is enough interest, i would make a documentary on my instagram and youtube account.
If you are interested, just comment on youtube
I think I'm done here now

Re: E2 Paused printing
I have to admit I'm shocked about Raise3D and how they handled all this. I was considering buying an E2 but right now I'm glad I did not buy it. Verry disappointed by Rise3D and I will look for alternatives...
Re: E2 Paused printing
Awesome job! You should be consulting for Raise3D R&D.
Male Modeler / Sub-Human
Re: E2 Paused printing
It's also a huge quality upgrade to run the printer with an Original Duet.
A poorly implemented Duet clone is installed in Raise E2.
Filament is not a Raise PLA
Sliced with Simplify V5 not with the bad Ideamaker
in this video i print with 150mm/s
I don't need an HS PLA for that

Re: E2 Paused printing
When the model is sliced with high resolution, the firmware and hardware communication may have delay.
You consider a higher Minmal Segment Legth or lower Printing Speed.

Re: E2 Paused printing
right, but i would have to move the segments down until i get a square instead of a circle.
because of the quality of the print it is better to replace the bad hardware with a better one

Re: E2 Paused printing
When the precision of the slice is super high, there will be delays in the communication between firmware and hardware.
Please try with higher Minimal Segment Legngth or lower Printing Speed.

Re: E2 Paused printing
@Vicky
I upgraded my E2 with an Original Duet 3 mini.
so I can print circles at 150mm/s with no problems.
The print quality has also improved immensely.
Nevertheless, thanks for the tip.
At that time I had tried everything to get rid of the break.
also the segments and the speed decreased.
even to the extent that I had visible surfaces in the cylinder.
that's not all.
the communication between the display board and the motion board is simply miserable

Dear Raise3D, I'm fed up with this. Time flies and you do nothing to solve the problem! I am seriously considering returning the printer!

Same!!!
But, they don't care! They already have our money!
This printer's HW AND SW is made out of Chinesium!
They don't give a shit!

Re: E2 Paused printing
I apologize for this issue still being present. I do agree that this is definitely an issue and will ask if there's possibly a hardware upgrade path set to help address this. I will provide an update on this just as soon as I receive a response back from our development team.
