E2 Paused printing
E2 Paused printing
I can no longer believe that there are few who have this problem.
When I use my printer normally via the Raise 3d Display and Controlboard, it pauses.
but if I connect it to the PC or Octoprint via USB, everything is perfect! why raise 3 D

Re: E2 Paused printing
Can you please clarify the issue? Does it pause for a moment then continue printing? Or does the print completely stop? When a file is printed via USB it is loaded onto the internal memory of the screen then printed. It is not streaming directly from the USB device.
Re: E2 Paused printing
You misunderstood me. I unplugged the usb cable from the motionboard and plugged in my Raspberry pi instead of the controller of the display. Then sent the gcode from octoprint via the Raspberry. So it prints without errors. It stutters when printing only via the raise controller
Re: E2 Paused printing
Here are two examples where the printer is paused; gcode was sent to the motion board via the raise controller

Re: E2 Paused printing
Interesting that yours pauses and then resumes. My machine doesn't do that but occasionally stops forever and then errors out with a serial error which requires rebooting and resuming a print.
They've sent me a new usb cable but it doesn't seem to solve the issue and now waiting on a main board replacement.

Re: E2 Paused printing
I already got a new motion board and a new controller. However, this did not fix the error.
Why doesn't a technician care about the problem here in the forum? every time you describe a problem here, it is not addressed. It always just comes up have a gcode, video? The second step is then the service ticket ..... you will then be forwarded to a seller in Germany.sorry if I have obvious problems with my product, then I try to solve them with the customer.

Please create a support ticket so that one of our technical support engineers can assist you in solving the issue. https://help.raise3d.com/support/home

Not possible, we are from Europe and the ticket will be bounce.

Re: E2 Paused printing
more and more people have this problem. Maybe someone cares about a solution here? I think a lot of them have this problem and don't notice.

So true, you think you will get help till they realize you are in Europe and the ticket is closed and you have to go to your dealer and then DIY is the best way, no direct manufacturer support.
E2 + Prusa Mini <- UM 2+ <- Replicator2
Re: E2 Paused printing
Normally, every advertisement that is published in Europe should say that the manufacturer does not offer direct support! The way it is handled now, a European customer only notices this when he requests help but does not receive it. That should be forbidden!
Re: E2 Paused printing
I agree with you all.
My curiosity is: is it possible that there is not an American with this problem?

is probably rather unlikely.
Have you already tried something to fix the error?
should we open a thread that has already been tried?
Re: E2 Paused printing
How does your dealer react when you confront them with the problem?
Re: E2 Paused printing
ok i have solved the problem of pausing ..
But please don't be angry that I won't publish it ... I think Raise 3D has to deliver;)

I just had a perfect print from a previously paused gcode... I don't have the solution but maybe some clues...

Re: E2 Paused printing
I believe I have the same problem... the print head will stop in place for about 1 second seemingly at random. Is this thread referring to the same problem:
https://forum.raise3d.com/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=21082
I'm not sure if this problem is causing any printing defects, but I do notice the same blobs on my printed that the other thread mentions, mainly when I'm printing circular objects. I haven't watched the prints closely enough to tell if that is the source of the blob problem.
To the other posters that think they have figured out the problem, any reason why you're not sharing? This might be a widespread issue that other owners have not yet noticed.
I do hope Raise3D is looking into a fix for the next firmware update.
