Belt issues pro2

Postby MindController000 » Mon Apr 20, 2020 8:38 am

*WARNING* The audio in the video is extremely loud.
https://youtu.be/CoQLJQ30Zak

I think I have a belt problem? Any print causes abnormal noise. What's weird is when I move the print head around using the utilities on the touchscreen the problem only happens when its homed on the X/Y and I move it right (X axis). As seen in the video moving right on the X axis when Y is moved away from 0 (home) it seems fine.

But, if I try and print the machine will make abnormal noise even when printing in the center of the build plate.

Another strange thing is I tried disabling the motors to move the print head around manually and gave up because there was more resistance than normal

This printer is the only thing enjoyable during my quarantine, please help

Thanks, Jeremy

You might have a broken coupler.

Would you like to take a short video when moving the printhead around the X and Y axis by hand and share with us?
Also, please advise whether there's anu resistance when moving the printhead or does it completely bind up and lock into a position?

Looks like there is a significant amount of binding.
Here is a guide about how to realign the gantry: https://support.raise3d.com/N2-N2-Plus/ ... 3-680.html
Try and see whether it can help your issue.

That's a set of instructions for an N2 or N2Plus. It looks suspiciously like MindController000 has a Pro2 or Pro2 Plus.

Is that a problem?

BTW: what is this Leveling Cube that is required, and where do I get one?

Pro2 and N series printer are using the similar gantry system. The guide will work for both.
The leveling block's file is loaded in ideaMaker. You can find it under Examples.
