Addons & Extras

Postby Ikoth » Mon Oct 31, 2016 7:08 pm

Hi all,

I'm about to hit the "purchase" button on a dual extruder N2 Plus.

Does the printer come with everything needed to get up & running immediately - buildtak, filament, software, etc?

Are there any extras or addons I should consider ordering, either from Raise or a third party?

Cheers,

I.

I would suggest buying a second glass plate and buildtak so that you have a spare so that you can quickly swap them out between prints or in case the glass cracks.

The printer will come with glass plate with buildtak, 2 free spools of filament (for dual), operating software has already been installed on printer.
It can run immediately when you receive it.
Slicing software is also free to download. And any upgrade of both operating software and slicing software will be post on our website. They are all free to download.

You can also order some spare parts or filament together to save the shipping cost in case damages during using. It depends on you, not necessary for the first running.

IMHO - I suggest you add on 2 replacement fans since they can break at anytime and are easy to swap out.

Printer and suggested parts ordered. Should be here next Friday :-)

The £84 shipping fee (from iMakr) came as an unpleasant surprise. But, their invoice lists the shipping weight as 133KG!!

Is that right, how heavy is the N2 Plus?

Cheers,

I.

One suggestion, the N2+ is a BIG printer, you need a LOW table to put it on or you will spend hours on a step ladder.

I leave my n2+ on the floor. I don't think it's meant to be placed on top of anything.

The volume weight of N2 Plus is 133kg. The real weight is of N2 Plus is about 65kg.

I made a table with a raised lip on the side, I hate stooping over for extended periods of time.
