Why do my PM's sit in the outbox, of the forum's messaging system and not go to sent?

I've tested this and I believe the reason why your messages may be in the "outbox" section might be due to an incorrect recipient. From what I can tell, once a message is successfully sent/received, it will no longer be in the outbox section.

But one of my messages was to Derek@Raise3D is that not a good recipient?

That is odd. I'll bring this up to one of the other site admins in hopes of getting a more concrete answer. I will say though, that your test message was received on my end so although it stays in the "outbox" section, it's still received. (recipient looks good too)
