Half my reads say the Z-axis should be spaced the thickness of a piece of A4 paper. The reads tell me the Z-axis should just touch the bed. Which one should it be?
Thanks in advance.
Z-axis touching or not

Re: Z-axis touching or not
There really isn't an exact Z offset distance between the bed and the tip of the nozzle as each printer (even 3rd party printers) can have different distance values (Z offset tests are subjective). We recommend first starting off using a feeler gauge that's between 0.2mm - 0.3mm as a good starting point. As well, please keep in mind that it's not uncommon to have to do a few Z offset test prints to ensure you're at the right height.
* One particular Z-offset distance can work for one printer, but may not for yours so there wouldn't be an exact perfect value to use
