Screen dark when powered on

Postby jasace » Tue Sep 19, 2023 12:40 am

A number of other members have posted on similar problems: I have a Pro2 which was in storage over COVID. I recently tried to start using it again. When I power on the printer, for about 2 seconds I see the Raise3D logo - so far so good - then the screen goes black and stays black. Lights, fan and power to the printer are working, but nothing on the screen.
Based on other posts, I ran the printer for 24 hours to charge the battery and pressed the silver "reset" button repeatedly. Neither approach solved the problem.
I have unscrewed the screen enclosure and opened the back panel. The CMOS battery inside gives a "full" reading on a battery tester. All cables are properly seated and appear to be routed correctly.
When I turn off/on the printer, the green light inside the enclosure turns on brielfy, then goes dark and stays that way.
I intend to get a new CMOS to see if that makes a difference but seems very unlikely. Can anyone assist? Many thanks in advance.

By the sounds of it, it's likely that the touchscreen unit itself may just no longer work after being in storage for a while. The PSU appears to be working since the lights and fans are staying on so the power supply is not at fault here. As well, the cell battery on the touchscreen looks to be okay too per your reading of it being on a "full" status.

Although the touchscreen is able to briefly populate the Rasie3D logo, I believe this touchscreen would need to be replaced as it's struggling to stay on. I recommend contacting our tech support team so that they can have our sales department generate a quote for you or contact your reseller to place an order for this item (if applicable).
