So I designed and fabricated 3D printed z-wobble decouplers for Pro2 and Pro3 printers (I have Raise 3D Pro2 Plus printer) and now my printer prints without any z-wobble pattern with perfectly smooth vertical surfaces. I think all 3D printers must have this mechanism stock.
Is is very easy to install and does not require disassembling the 3D printer.
Please note it takes some heights of the Z-axis so this modification fits better for the Plus versions (higher versions) of the Pro2 and Pro3 printers.



So if you want to do the same you have to print 8 of "External plate.STEP" files and 4 of "Internal plate.STEP" files out of ABS. I printed them with 0.4mm nozzle, 0.2mm layer height, 4 perimeter walls, 5 bottom layers, 8 top layers, 15% infill rectilinear pattern on Prusa MK3 printer. You might want to do one of each part test print and check fitment to other parts first and maybe adjust the STEP files to achieve press fit for the other parts fit into the 3D printed parts (pins and magnets).

Tap thru 8-32 holes in the 3D printed parts (the ones 3.45 mm diameter)


Tap thru M5 holes in the 3D printed parts (the ones 4.2 mm diameter)

Press the 1/16" dowel pins into the 3D printed parts



Press the 1/4" thick magnets into the "External plate.STEP" 3D printed parts until it touches the pins. The 1/4" thick magnets must be oriented the same pole toward the pins.



Press the 1/2" thick magnets into the "Internal plate.STEP" 3D printed parts until it touches the pins. The 1/2" thick magnets must be oriented the same pole toward the pins and the 1/2" thick magnets pole oriented toward the pins must be attracted by the 1/4" thick magnets pole pressed into the "External plate.STEP" oriented toward the pins.


Attach the balls to the "Internal plate.STEP" 3D printed parts

Press the 3/32" dowel pins into the 3D printed parts




Assemvle the 3D printed parts with the 8-32 screws




Check how the decouplers parts fit together

Support the 3D printer build plate below, unscrew the ball screws nuts from the build plate. You will need to detach the left side acrylic panel from the 3D printer to access the left ball screw nut. Disassemble the decouplers halves and assemble them snugly on the 3D printer ball screw nuts and build plate with the 8-32x1.5", M5x18mm and M5x15mm fasteners. Check if the build plate is leveled. You can detach the fasteners from the decoupler on one side and turn the ball screw on that side if that side needs to be lower of higher until the bed is leveled.
