So basically my heating bed wire melted and shorted, blowing a fuse. I've replaced the wire with similar wire, and replaced the blown fuse. The heater bed now heats up successfully, however it doesn't know how to stop! It will keep heating past any limit set. From reading some of the excellent input from other users on this forum, I've narrowed the problem down to a fried FET chip. There is a burning smell once the printer is on, and on visual inspection one of the FET chips is clearly blackened and burnt, as can be seen on the attached pictures. I would like to replace this chip rather than spending lots of money on a new motion controller board, and I have access to people who are experienced in soldering circuit boards. However all I need now is the FET chip. Does anyone know the specification of the chip circled in the picture, or where I could buy one?
Thanks very much for any help.
