Veritcal Movement in Back Rod

Postby InertSquirrel » Thu May 13, 2021 8:32 pm

I've been fighting to get my bed level for seemingly ever now and I noticed today that when moving the printer on the Y axis, the rear rod has quite a bit of unwanted vertical movement. Here's a video of what's happening: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1IVeUPrZZZM3bth_R9yvL_JmiaiKQWMjv/view?usp=sharing

I found this page on how to replace the rod: https://support.raise3d.com/Pro2-Series/how-to-replace-the-back-rod-4-683.html

Before I take half of the printer apart to check for anything loose (fingers crossed the rod itself isn't bent...), does anyone have any tips on what to look for?

Based on the video that you have provided the back rod is definitely bent and will need to be replaced. It will be nearly impossible to level the bed or get any type of consistent printing results with the rod in its current state.

Thanks, Steven. I pulled it out and confirmed it's indeed bent. Who should I contact for a quote on a replacement?

You can send your enquiry to inquiry@raise3d.com.
Don't forget to mention what printer you are using, which part you need for this printer and where are you at in your request. Our sales team will reach back to you once getting your email.
