ERROR: Network not connected

Postby mike » Wed Dec 04, 2019 10:36 pm

Hi!
I managed to use Network before, but it was a mess to config it.
IP, Subnet, Gateway and DNS is 100% correct.

There is a Problem at Layer1 i think.
The Switch LED does not start up. I also tested it with another Switch which comes and and down for infinite loop.
One Switch is 1000FDX, the other one 100FDX. I also tried all options:
Auto negotiation, 1000FDX, 100FDX, .. Switch and Printer side. Its a mess. It says: connecting... "connected" "not connected"/"plug out".
What can i do?
I also tried another network cable.

I get the same error, but found that I am able to connect to the printer over our network as well as remotely through the RaiseCloud app.

My printer no longer connects to the software, either hardwired or wireless. I gave up on trying to fix it.

Would you like to export the serial log from your touchscreen after you see the error and share with us?
Would you like to advise more information of your route?

its an SMC Switch, gigabit
i also tried an old 10/100 mbit netgear switch.

after fiddling with settings, auto negotiation, rebooting etc. it works sometimes.
please try manual ip setting, no dhcp, auto negotiation on, 1000mbit fdx.

My Pro2 Plus will now only connect to our network for a couple of seconds. The network status (in the printer settings) will cycle between “plug out” and “not connected”. It was working fine for the past 3 months, but now that the warranty has expired, I guess I need to pay for a new board?

This is a software/firmware problem. I rolled back to Raisetouch 0.9.7 and it connects to the network without any issues. (And as an added bonus, I don't have the annoying screens at the end of my print.)

Do you have the same issue with Wi-Fi connection or only with Ethernet?

only ethernet, because i never tested/use wifi.
but i think its an ethernet problem because we talk about: plug out/not connected/negotiation problems.
the switch LED is not on if this problem occurs.

Vicky, I just had my touchscreen replaced under warranty. Would that have any effect on the network connection?

I determined that the internal network cable on the printer is faulty. When I connect a network cable directly into the touchscreen, it connects to the network without any issues
You can access the plug on the bottom of the touchscreen by loosening the two screws at the base of the cable cover and sliding the cover down.

Would you like to disable DHCP and try connect touchscreen with any other working Wi-Fi and see whether it can work with Wi-Fi just for test? It can be hotspot from your phone.
And also the Ethernet cable mdana mentioned below can be considered as an potential as well.

Thanks, they are sending out a replacement. Hopefully I can replace it without tipping the machine on it’s side.
