Dual extruder offset calibration

Postby MSena » Fri Oct 18, 2019 8:30 am

Hi guys,

Anyone has a better part to print for the extruder offset calibration?
Let's be honest, the current method is bad. It takes around 45-50 mins to print the calibration tower and you rarely get it calibrated on the first time.
I used to work with other 3D printers and this was made by printing a very short pattern that took 5mins printing instead ...

Any suggestions?

Yes, I had the same feeling about printing the little Aztec pyramid thing.
Also, I couldn't figure out how to read the darn thing.

I've attached two files, 1b.stl and 2b.stl. Align the two models, print 1b with the left extruder,
2b with the right extruder.

If you're aligned, the square will line up with the L shape. Use your calipers to measure.
Zero your calipers on the legs of the L.

Takes about four minutes to print.

Hope it works for you!
