Fan control on N2

Postby slessard » Fri Nov 12, 2021 2:02 am

Hello,

I bought a used N2 and I can get the fan to be controlled either in variable speed or ON/OFF.
Should I be able to do it?

Thanks
Simon

The 2 fans on either side of the Hot ends on the N2 are always on by design as these are the main cooling fans for the hot ends and if they are not on when they are required then you will encounter jamming and other issues.

I see, it makes sense.
Those fans are also used for printed part cooling with the deflector. I guess I would two additional fans dedicated to part cooling.
Is there a controllable output somewhere that I could use to speed control two more fans?
My N2 has been upgraded with the Pro2 upgrade package.
Thanks!

The 2 unpopulated fan ports are controlled by firmware.
